Athena 5k Virtual Race
Including Sleep & Working Smarter
This isn't a race about speed or distance, it's about how well you know your own running.
Can you estimate how long your 5K run will take, to the second?
Entering is easy - simply register for the race, then submit your estimated 5K time via the link included in your confirmation email. On Friday 1st January, head out for your 5K run any time before 7pm and set your phone or running watch to record. The catch is, you can't look at your phone/watch except to start & stop it, so you'll need to guess your pace. At the end of your run, submit your actual 5K time and the closest person to their estimate wins!

What's the prize?
The person who guesses closest (to the second) will win one month's free Athena membership and an Athena multiway headband!
How much does it cost to enter?
Entry costs £3 and profits will be donated to the local charity Small Acts of Kindness
Small Acts of Kindness work to reduce loneliness and isolation for older people in Hertfordshire by connecting communities with kindness. Did you know that just £25 covers the cost of a gift bag that will help keep an older person warm this winter? You can find out more about Small Acts of Kindness here.
